Easy set up on Windows 7 November 24, 2009 Gluteus Maximus (SoCal) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
Great printer with awesome features. Set up was really easy on my laptop with windows 7. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to get the printer up and running. Just insert the disc and follow the prompts. As the drivers for the printer are installing there is a guide with pictures directing you on how to unpack, install ink, print test page and align heads. Wireless set up was also a breeze unlike other printers where wireless set up was a hassle. Once everything was set up I did a few test prints to see if I would have problems with wifi printing and everything worked perfect. There is a desktop widget for the 4x6 prints that is very convenient. You just choose a photo and click and drag to the widget and it automatically prints a 4x6 over wifi. There is a separate tray for the 4x6 paper and for the 8.5x11 paper. This is very convenient and time saving since you don't have to juggle between papers. The color touch screen on the printer is also great. It is easy to use and understand. If you need to scan a document you just press scan and it will send the image wireless to your computer. The inks are separate color cartridges. These are not the all in one color cartridges. These are more efficient and save you more money. Overall, the printer is great. Print quality is real good. Speed is great.
Nice printer! November 16, 2009 Aimee F. Blake (northern Michigan) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I wanted a wireless printer and this one suits my needs quite well. It's an all-in-one, so it copies, scans, and faxes. The photo quality is excellent. The colors are beautiful. I'm happy with it.

Best printer I have bought October 7, 2009 digitalgecko 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this printer to be able to print wirelessly. The setup was very easy. I connected the USB cable during setup and it transferred all the wireless information for me. At the end of setup, I just unplugged the cable and was able to print. The color is quite good on this machine and I love the touchscreen. It's also great to be able to print pictures from the SD card intead of having to turn on your computer or connect a camera. I was considering the Kodak ESP7 but was worried about the quality of the construction. I have always had good luck with HP printers, and this one did not disappoint.
Easy setup, excellent performance. October 22, 2009 718tech (Brooklyn, NY United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm a geek, and my wife is a technophobe. It took me a couple of frustrating hours to set up our previous wireless printer, a Canon MP620. So when we got the Photosmart I was expecting more of the same. Surprisingly, my beloved wife decided that she would give installing the HP a shot. While I was cooking dinner, she installed the printer and hooked up all three of our computers (all Macs) and got them working very quickly. This may have something to do with HP's implementation of Apple's Bonjour feature, which lets you connect wireless devices seamlessly. Whatever the reason, it works beautifully. The only slight glitch we encountered was that one of the computers needed to have the driver software installed from the disk, as opposed to downloading it from the HP site. Once that was done, it was smooth sailing - a considerable improvement over installing the Canon. Print quality is also excellent, but that's the price of entry these days - not that much different than the Canon, with a slight edge in photo printing. Text rendering is sharp, even in quick mode. Scanning works well. While both Canon and HP all-in-one printers can give you good results, the HP is so much easier to use than the Canon that there's no contest. The HP Photosmart is our new printer of choice.
