Picture Perfect! January 14, 2008 Darrell Butler (Kempner, TX) 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought the Epson Stylus 1400 Claria Photo Printer for my wife for Christmas and she cried when she opened the package. But tears quickly turned to a huge smile when she printed her first set of photos on it! This machine is perfect for printing incredibly sharp photos, up to 13 inches by 19 inches. The ink is dry immediately and is equal to any professional prints. Awesome!
Great Photo Printer August 17, 2009 Der Oestricherreicher (Virginia, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've wanted a photo lab, but couldn't afford one. I was cool with Epson, because my Photo 925 was a bust, but my month old 1400 is a great printer. From 4x6 to 13x19 I have been getting nothing but wonderful prints. In order to achieve this, I do use a screen monitor and ICC profiles, but after all of the calculations are done, the printer has to do its job and this one does splendidly. If you are a fairly serious amateur photographer (I use my printer only for photos) this is a great buy today. I couldn't be more pleased.
Great photo printer - can't beat the price! February 20, 2010 D. Weaver (Charlestown, NH USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this printer to use with my Macs, a 17" G4 laptop running OS 10.4.8 and a 24" iMac desktop running OS 10.5.8. Installation was less than five minutes per machine and I was up and running. So far I've been printing from both Photoshop CS3 and iPhoto on 8.5" by 11" glossy photo paper and have been extremely satisfied. I've haven't tried Apple's Aperture, but expect similar results.
As of this date, 2/20/2010, Staples is running an unbelievable deal on this printer. They've marked it down to $199.88 and are giving an additional $50 discount on all printers selling for $199 or more when you trade in any printer. I walked out the door with this printer for a mere $149.88!
The Espon Stylus Photo 1400 printer is excellent! May 7, 2010 D. Brinkley 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've owned this printer for over a year and I've been very happy with it. I've used it to create photo prints for competitions and contests and won several awards and ribbons from what I printed from this printer. So, you tell me now what you think of that! Yes, I am very pleased. When ink runs low, it will keep printing my work untill it's done. The Epson R280 quits printing as soon as it thinks its low on ink and I hate that. I loose and ruin more work with the Epson R280.
Yes, I do suggest to think about purchasing this printer!
Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Printer May 6, 2009 pictoinfo (Los Angeles, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I make my living taking photographs. I have been using the 1400 for a couple of months. It is a great printer for my purposes. I mostly use it for portfolio prints, and promo cards. Otherwise for word processing too. Hook up and install to my iMac was simple. It worked right away. It does suck up a lot of ink. The price for the printer at Amazon was low, but the cost of ink is high. Seems like Epson is in the ink business more than printers, but don't want to risk gumming up the works with generic inks.
